Matthew MomanMatthew MomanFounder and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Moman provides day-to-day oversight and implementation of Capstone’s strategic vision, initiatives, procedures, operations, and financial management.

Prior to founding Capstone, Mr. Moman served as Vice President of Strategic Development for Southwest LTC, a leading post-acute care provider in Texas and Oklahoma. He was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives spanning all segments of the company, including operations, finance, acquisitions/divestitures, managed care, corporate contracting and information systems.  Mr. Moman was instrumental in not only the company’s 150% growth during his tenure, but also in critical operational procedure and system implementations, securing strategic financing and reimbursement programs, and the advancement of the company information and EHR systems.

Prior to Southwest LTC, Mr. Moman worked in healthcare commercial finance with Capital Source (NASDAQ: PACW, formerly NYSE: CSE), and Medical Properties Trust (NYSE: MPW), where he focused in healthcare and post-acute care real estate and working capital financing.

Mr. Moman graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration with a major in Finance.


Julie SulikJulie Sulik, RN-BC, CLNC, Chief Nursing Officer

Ms. Sulik joined Capstone in February of 2019.

Ms. Sulik oversees all clinical and operational programs, and directs strategic clinical initiatives for Capstone.

Ms. Sulik has over twenty-five years of experience in the Post-Acute Care industry. Prior to joining Capstone, Ms. Sulik served as the Vice President of Clinical Services for Southwest LTC, overseeing all clinical programs for 30 Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living communities.

Prior to Southwest LTC, Ms. Sulik served as Vice President of Program Development and Clinical Monitoring for Formation Health Care Group, and prior to that, Ms. Sulik was a Post-Acute owner/operator with Sulik/Sheridan Healthcare.

Ms. Sulik graduated from Blinn College with an Associates of Science degree in Nursing. Ms Sulik is a Board Certified Registered Nurse and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant in the state of Texas.


Monica Moman

Monica Moman, LCSW, Vice President of Cultural Development

Ms. Moman oversees business development, marketing, resident quality of life and community culture building, and assists in environmental improvements.

Ms. Moman brings a diverse clinical and managerial skillset to the Capstone family.  Prior to this role, she was responsible for the coordination and expansion of the Veterans Administration’s Medical Foster Home program (MFH) throughout the nation’s second largest VISN.  Ms. Moman’s hosts an extensive background as a mental health clinician, medical social worker, supervisor, researcher, and program manager. As well as a tenure as a forensic social worker for Vanderbilt University Medical Center (Our Kids), and an expert witness in the area of child sexual abuse for the state of Tennessee.

Cultivating healing environments for vulnerable populations is what has and continues to drive Ms. Moman’s professional development and is at the core of Capstone Healthcare’s legacy.

Ms. Moman graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Alabama and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University (War Eagle!). She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the state of Texas.


Amanda Darnell

Amanda Darnell, Director of Human Resources

Ms. Darnell is Capstone Healthcare’s Director of Human Resources.  She has over 9 years of experience in Long Term Care, operating in various roles, including Compliance Manger and QIPP Program Manager; she aims to support the Human Resources department by evaluating and implementing legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and employing long-range strategic talent management goals.  While aspiring to encourage various leadership styles, a healthy corporate culture, and the defined company values that Capstone embodies, Ms. Darnell is actively working towards her SHRM-SCP certification having earned her degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.

A Dallas native, Ms. Darnell is a married soccer mom to her three active girls.


Janine Cohen

Janine Cohen, Senior Financial Analyst

Ms. Cohen joined Capstone in January of 2022 as Senior Financial Analyst. Ms. Cohen provides support with accounting, finance, compliance, and regulatory functions.

Ms. Cohen has twenty-five years of accounting management experience and 15 years’ experience working in the senior living industry.  Prior to joining Capstone, Ms. Cohen worked at Priority Management Services in Dallas, Texas overseeing the accounting of their Texas facilities.  Preceding Priority Management Services, Ms. Cohen served as Controller at Legacy Communities in Plano, Texas and oversaw the accounting operations and cash management of its various entities.  Ms. Cohen additionally served as Controller at Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation in Dallas, Texas and provided finance, accounting, and operational support to its six communities.  During her time with SQLC and Legacy, Ms. Cohen was involved with bond financing of 4 new communities and refinancing totaling $680 million.

Ms. Cohen graduated from Sul Ross State University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.


Whitney PinaWhitney Pina, Regional Nurse Consultant

Ms. Piña has been a team member of Capstone since November 2015 serving as the Director of Nursing at Magnolia Place Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson, Texas.

Ms. Piña now serves as the Regional Nurse Consultant providing optimal guidance and support to the Capstone communities.

Ms. Piña has over ten years of experience in the long-term care industry and values advocating and supporting the aging population.

Prior to joining Capstone, Ms. Piña served as the Wound Care and Treatment Nurse for Caring Healthcare Group.

Ms. Piña was raised in the small East Texas town of Avinger, Texas and later graduated from Northeast Texas Community College with an Associate of Science in Nursing. Ms. Piña is an accredited Registered Nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing.


Tim Hersey

Tim Hersey, Regional Director of Plant Operations

Tim Hersey is Capstone Healthcare’s Regional Director of Plant Operations.  Prior to this position Mr. Hersey had a 20-year tenure as the Maintenance Director at Ennis Care Center, a 5 Star Rated skilled nursing facility in Ennis, Texas.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hersey has retained expert knowledge in facility management, life safety regulations, and coordination of large- and small-scale renovation projects.  Mr. Hersey additionally supports Capstone communities with IT support and internal/external maintenance diagnosis and repairs to offset unnecessary costs.

Mr. Hersey lives with family in Ennis, Texas and is the devoted father to four adult daughters.  He enjoys the outdoors, reading, genealogy, gardening, prepping and family.


Gina YoungbloodGina Youngblood, Regional Business Office Manager

2 years basic studies at Northeast Texas Community College.

I have 19 years of Business Office experience.  I have accomplished significant reduction in total accounts receivable while working for Nexion Health Inc., Civitas Senior Living and Greenhill Villas of Mt. Pleasant.  I have experience with multiple long-term care financial and billing programs.

Honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic is what I live by.

I moved into the role of Regional Business Office Manager in June 2020 for Capstone Healthcare.  I provide support to our facility Office Managers, giving guidance for financial and reimbursement issues for the company.  The past year has been a learning experience for me with all the new challenges we faced.

Hughes Springs Texas is where I have lived all my life.  I have a small farm and enjoy raising cattle and riding horses and mules.  I spend time traveling the US National Parks and seeing our beautiful nation on horseback.


Julie WyattJulie Wyatt, Program Manager

Ms. Wyatt serves as the Program Manager for Healthcare Quality Improvement Services (HQIS).  She is a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator with 19 years’ experience in Long Term Care.  In her role as Program Manager, Ms. Wyatt works with 26 facilities to help them reach their goals of Quality Improvement.  Her responsibilities range from educating facility administrators and their staff on the benefits of improving the quality of care they provide, visiting monthly with each facility, to financial oversight of the facilities’ Accounts receivable.  “What I like most about my job is being able to take the experience I gained working in a nursing facility and use it to help others improve their facilities and the lives of their residents.”

Ms. Wyatt is the mom of three adult children and “Honey” to 8 wonderful grandchildren who she spends most of her free time spoiling.  She lives in Sunnyvale, Texas where she enjoys discovering all that the DFW area has to offer.
