Meet our newest graduate, Ms. M! Here, she is standing, smiling, and full of independence. However, three weeks prior to this picture, Ms M. came to us due to hemiparesis following a cerebral infarction, a COPD exacerbation, wedge compression fractures of T11 through T12 vertebra, and a wedge compression fracture of 2nd lumbar vertebra. These injuries left her in severe pain and dependent on caregivers for all her functional needs.
