Brenda Hellie

Medicaid Coordinator

Brenda Hellie serves as Capstone Healthcare’s full-time Medicaid Coordinator, with over 6 years prior spent as the Medicaid Consultant.  Brenda started her career in 1984 as an Activity Director for a Magnolia Manor (which is now Magnolia Place owned by Capstone Healthcare) where she also served as the assistant to the Administrator, which is now called the Business Office Manager.  She left that position and started her career in November of 1989 with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission where she worked in the Medicaid department in various roles, including Medicaid Eligibility Specialist, Quality Assurance, Supervisor, and Program Manager.  Ms. Hellie enjoys spending time with her new grandchild, her family, and taking care of her aging parents.  Mrs. Hellie worked on her degree in gerontology from Panola College and Texarkana A&M while raising her two sons and working.

An upstate New York native, Mrs. Hellie moved to Jefferson, Texas in 1983 where she still lives with her husband Eddie and cares for her 92-year-old mother in their home.
